What SPF should I use daily?

Dermatologists recommend SPF 30 as the daily minimum — it blocks 97% of UVB rays — but SPF 50 (98% blockage) is recommended for outdoor activities, high-altitude exposure, or if you have hyperpigmentation or melasma. SPF above 50 offers diminishing returns. More important than SPF number is reapplication: any SPF must be reapplied every 2 hours of direct sun exposure.
