The short answer

Squalane is a saturated hydrocarbon that mimics the squalene your skin naturally produces. Unlike most oils, it doesn’t oxidize, clog pores, or break down retinoids. Safe for every skin type including acne-prone. The universal face oil.

Squalane is the universal skincare oil. Acne-safe, retinoid-safe, pregnancy-safe.

How squalane works

The short answer

Squalane is a stable, saturated version of squalene (which your skin makes naturally but less of as you age). It absorbs quickly, doesn’t oxidize on skin, and provides occlusive sealing without pore-clogging risk. Rare combination.

Why squalane beats other oils:

  • Non-comedogenic (acne-safe)
  • Doesn’t oxidize (unlike rosehip, marula)
  • Lightweight (won’t feel greasy)
  • Retinoid-compatible
  • Pregnancy-safe
